We're looking for an experienced and organised Payroll and HR Administrator to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract.
About the role
As a key member of our finance team, you take responsibility for the day-to-day administration of payroll. Working closely with HR and our external payroll provider to ensure our team members are paid accurately and on time. The role also includes HR administration, employee benefits, payroll controls and management reporting.
This is a four-day-per-week role, working Monday to Thursday
Normal working hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm although some flexibility may be required to meet key payroll and reporting deadlines
What you'll be doing
Effectively processing fortnightly and monthly payrolls
Actively managing HECK!'s relationship with our external payroll service provider
Processing data such as time and attendance to build accurate payroll files
Ensuring payroll accuracy through appropriate checks
Ensuring all statutory requirements are adhered to in payroll processing
Accurately managing team member holiday entitlements
Supporting team members with payroll and benefit related queries
Preparing journals, nominal reconciliations, supporting audits and maintaining accurate records,
Preparing labor KPIS for our Board and carrying out compliance audits
Overseeing HECK!s right to work process
Effectively managing the team member benefits enrollment process
What you'll bring
Previous payroll administration or payroll processing experience
Strong attention to detail and a high level of work accuracy
Good organisational skills, with the ability to work to strict payroll deadlines
Comfortable handling confidential payroll and employee information
Well developed Excel skills
If you have worked with outsourced providers, supported hourly payroll or have familiarity with HiBob and/or time and attendance systems, that's even better!
