The Role
We are seeking a passionate and commercially astute Data Analyst to help shape our strategic decisions across sales, marketing, and category performance. You will develop systems and processes to make sense of varied data streams, from supermarket insights to social media engagement and transform them into actionable intelligence.
This role offers the opportunity to build our analytical capability from the ground up, helping HECK make sharper decisions with clearer foresight.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Marketing Analysis
- Aggregate and analyse data across a number of data sources including ReApp (supermarket sales), EPOS sales, Sprout Social (social media metrics) and Monday.com .(marketing campaign)
- Develop Power BI dashboards to enable key stakeholders to see real-time data including sales trends, customer behaviour, and channel performance.
2. Category Intelligence
- Integrate and interpret category data from sources including Dunn Humby, SIPS, Kantar, and others.
- Build tools that enable visibility into market share, consumer shifts, pricing, and promotional activity.
- Support product development and retail strategy with fact-based insights.
- Align internal reporting delivery to key external and internal planning milestones
- Support the execution of customer-specific category plans, including range reviews and performance updates.
3. System & Process Development
- Design and implement processes to unify data sets from varied platforms into coherent reporting systems.
- Drive automation in data collection, cleaning, and validation to ensure consistent accuracy.
- Collaborate with Sales, Brand, and Commercial Ops teams to ensure aligned data outputs.
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting.
4. Data Strategy & Governance
- Contribute to the development of Heck’s data strategy, offering guidance on tools and technologies.
- Champion data governance, ensuring integrity, privacy, and quality in all analytic activities.
- Translate complex data into understandable business cases and action plans across sales, marketing and operations.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in data analysis within a product brand or FMCG setting.
- Deep proficiency in Power BI (or equivalent dashboarding tools).
- Strong knowledge of data cleaning, structuring, and validation techniques.
- Exposure to data sources such as ReApp, Kantar, Sprout Social, Dunhumby, SIPS, Circana.
- Solid SQL/database skills and a proactive mindset towards emerging data technologies.
Desirable Attributes
- Understanding of retail/commercial analytics in a food or consumer goods business.
- Ability to work with diverse data formats and data warehouse architecture.
- Experience with marketing analytics and ROI tracking.
- Comfort in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments with lean teams and ambitious goals.
